Every year, New York State
schools administer English Language Assessment
Tests to students in grades 3 through 8, usually
in the springtime. The English Language
Assessment test, or ELA, is given over a 3-day
period and is designed to test students'
reading, listening, and writing skills.

tests. The ELA test tutor prepares a student so
that she or he will overcome test-taking
anxieties, and will be calm and confident during

one-to-one, to enhance her or his Language Arts
skills and test-taking skills, by teaching
previously missed skills and sharing test-taking
strategies. We coach your child, using
worksheets and reviewing past tests for
practice; and explain the subject matter that is
vital to pass and do well on the ELA.
